SageDCT 2.7.2

Anybody involved in the SageDCT 2.7.2 Beta who can let us know how it is going?

Quote:
2.7.0
- Add DirectShow RTP capture method. Should resolve weird PID issues w/o using VLC. <- very beta
- Add Ffmpeg RTP capture method. Preferred way to capture TS for other platforms
- RTP ports are now dynamically allocated. Default range is 48 + starting port. If you have a lot of tuners or like to channel surf a lot it might be necessary to bump "RtpPortRange" up a bit.

2.7.1
- Add DirectShow RTP capture method. Should resolve weird PID issues w/o using VLC. <- very beta
- Ffmpeg RTP method enhancements & logging

2.7.2
- Add FfmpegProbeMultiplier setting. Multiplies default ffmpeg probesize by this number. Default is 1.
- Add FfmpegAnalyzeMultiplier setting. Multiplies default ffmpeg max_analyze_duration by this number. Default is 1.
- Use av_find_best_stream to select video and audio tracks to be placed in position 0 & 1 in output file.

I tried to signup but I have not heard from Andy in a while. It appears he is away. Hope he didn't give up on us.

SageDCT has worked like a champ for me for over a year now. Here's to hoping 'it'll just work' with the new 6 tuner card from Ceton -- http://cetoncorp.com/products/infini...V_6_05_12_2013)

As it has for me with both HDHR Prime and Ceton Infinity4....
Then I needed to use the VLC option as Comcast changed the stream format...

Comcast seems to be changing something in the streams yet again and lately a whole bunch of recordings are not playable with SageTV (work fine in VLC).

I can convert them successfully using PVAstrumento... and they play fine in SageTV.

I suffer from Comcast wierdness, of a different flavor. With 2.7.2 I do not use the VLC option (I never could get the VLC option working on all channels). I use the FFMPEG option. On some channels and recording combinations, about 1% - 3%, I get audio but no video. It is maddening when it happens to a favorite. However, I no longer need to convert ANY recordings using VideoRedo.

It's an improvement as the need to convert recordings happened more frequently than the current no-video issue.

Ah, I spotted the tiny 'donate' button - and have now donated.

More importantly I have both a Ceton InfiniTV4 and Silicondust HDHR Prime that would be great to test the beta code on...

Were you ever able to get into the beta? I just donated but was curious if anyone was still really getting in.

He will email you a username and password. By any chance did you join the community... He will use that to give you access.
