Linux server version of 7.1.9 might be wrong.

If I diff my 7.1.7 install against an untar'd 7.1.9 directory, only the EULA and SageTV7.xml file differ.

If I diff 7.1.8 and 7.1.9 (or my 7.1.7), I get:
Code:
Files new_7_1_8/EULA.txt and new_7_1_9/EULA.txt differ
Files new_7_1_8/PredefinedDVBC.frq and new_7_1_9/PredefinedDVBC.frq differ
Files new_7_1_8/PredefinedDVBT.frq and new_7_1_9/PredefinedDVBT.frq differ
Files new_7_1_8/STVs/SageTV3/SageTV3.xml and new_7_1_9/STVs/SageTV3/SageTV3.xml differ
Files new_7_1_8/STVs/SageTV7/SageTV7.xml and new_7_1_9/STVs/SageTV7/SageTV7.xml differ
Files new_7_1_8/STVs/SageTV7/SecureLogin.xml and new_7_1_9/STVs/SageTV7/SecureLogin.xml differ
Only in new_7_1_9/STVs/SageTV7/Themes/Standard: .directory
Files new_7_1_8/Sage.jar and new_7_1_9/Sage.jar differ
Files new_7_1_8/ffmpeg and new_7_1_9/ffmpeg differ
Files new_7_1_8/libFirewireCapture.so and new_7_1_9/libFirewireCapture.so differ
Files new_7_1_8/libHDHomeRunCapture.so and new_7_1_9/libHDHomeRunCapture.so differ
Files new_7_1_8/libImageLoader.so and new_7_1_9/libImageLoader.so differ
Only in new_7_1_8: libswscale.so
So, these files all got updates between 7.1.7 and 7.1.8 then reverted in 7.1.9. That doesn't seem right. I looked at this because my 7.1.7 -> 7.1.9 upgrade didn't work. When I updated only SageTV7.xml and restarted. Many things in the UI were broken.

I guess I wouldn't be overly surprised as 7.1.9 did seem to get a hurried launch. I'm currently running 7.1.7 and was about to make the big upgrade. Now I'm glad I didn't.

I suspect you could upgrade to 7.1.8, then just update the SageTV7.xml file from 7.1.9. I haven't tried this, but it's my best guest for what 7.1.9 was supposed to be on Linux

That makes the most sense. The 7.1.9 release announcement doesn't mention any Linux specific changes, so perhaps you are right.

I think you're on to something. I am having a permissions issue in 7.1.9 which is probably related to the fact that the JAR is from April 28 and the Windows version has it as June 15.

This only affects the tgz install package. The Debian files seem to have correct time stamps.

See here for manually applying the Debian version.

I have uploaded an updated tar.gz for 7.1.9. This one should contain the right files.
