Favorites not recording correctly

All of a sudden all my favorites are not recording right. There are recording different channels than what they are set for. I'm running 6.2. Any thoughts?

Thanks

When I try changing channels under setup videos sources it always stays on the same channel. Even though it says it changed channels.

Does sagetv make a backup when I installed 6.2.

I would like to go back to the previoues version.

no...that's why you should always zip up your sage directory before upgrading.

as for channel setup...go through the channel setup again, it should rebuilt the database for your tuners...

Was there any customization you've done for an IR blaster or some such channel changer, and did you install to the same dir where SageTV was installed previously? (I figure you must have installed in the same place, or else you wouldn't have your old Favorites.)

SageTV does make a backup of a few files the first time you run a new version, the wiz.bin database & properties files, but not everything else. For a complete backup, see: How to install a new version of SageTV.

If you want to try a completely new tuner configuration, exit SageTV, delete (or better: rename) your Sage.properties file & its autobackup on the server, then start SageTV.

I tried that and the little hour glass just spins forever when it trys to tune a channel. If I install a fresh install of 6.2, and I point it to the recording I already have, it should just see them...right?

As long as you keep your wiz.bin file, it should keep all info about those recordings.

How are channels changed -- on the card's internal tuner, via a USB-UIRT, or... ? Did you reconfigure the service (if it is used) to use the same user + password you set it to use previously?

I did find an old backup 6.1.9. Is it still possible to download the installs for the server and client for this version.

forget it, 6.1.9 won't work. I change the channels by IR for and external STB. Also I'm using 3 HD tuners. 3-usb's and a pci card. All fusion.

A backup of wiz.bin, or what? v6.2 should be able to use an older wiz.bin, but if you reinstall an older version, it most likely won't be able to use the v6.2 wiz.bin.

There was a topic with info on how to find the old version links here.

We were typing at the same time... if reconfiguring the tuners doesn't work, I would at least do a complete reinstall of SageTV.

Well I think I have it up and running. I'll need to do some testing to make sure.

1 thing though. I can't remember for the life of me how to get the recording hours to show at the top of the main menu page. I think it was called Malore. Wasn't there a way to turn that on in the detailed setup. I can't find it now.

Thanks

You have to enable the hidden extras for those options.
