Scheduled Recordings not in sync with Recording Directory

Hi Guys,

I wonder if I could get some assistance to track down a problem I have with scheduled recordings.

Firstly, I am running V6.1, Everything is stock standard except I use comskip which every night @ 1am, also have Diskeeper running daily. Recording directory is specified as a UNC but is on local PC.

I have a number of favorites set up to record childrens shows and "Keep at Most" after 5 shows.

I have found three odd things ?

1. The recordings listed in "SageTV Recordings" are no in sync with the Recordings directory
2. When I delete things they do not always get deleted from the \\UNC\Recording directory
3. New things recorded exist in Recording directory but not listed on "SageTV Recordings"
4. "Keep at Most" feature showing correct number of shows in listing but not in sync with Recording directory and not deleting files

Can anyone help me debug this ?

First things first I would like to sync the Recording directory. Is that possible ?

Just some guesses/questions:

What OS are you running?

Are you using service mode? If so, is set to log in as a user w/a password who has full permissions for the recording dir? Is your firewall configured to allow the service & UI to talk to each other.

Do you have other recording dirs defined?

You could enable debug logging to see what the log says is happening with the recordings. Support might be able to track something down fro the log(s).
