Touchscreen Users...

I've done 5 HTPC's, but none with a touchscreen. I have a bud that want's one primarily for music, so I'm going to use the Zalman XT160. What's the easiest way to run 8x6 or 10x7 on the touchscreen, and 19x10 on the TV? (I'll research Clone Mode, etc..) but I have the room to add something like a passive 7300GS to run just the touchscreen, is this feasable?

Thanks,

P

Just convince him he needs this case instead: http://www.origenae.com/en/htpc_s21t.htm

Then you can match output levels on the screens.

Unless I am mistaken.. You can't run SageTV on both views unless you are cloning. If you clone, you're stuck with the lowest resolution.

How are your HTML skills? I imagine you could use nielm's webserver and control the client from the touchscreen, but it would have to be a custom interface with big shiny buttons, etc. Or, find a way to programatically move the SageTV screen from monitor 1 to monitor 2 and vice verse.

I may be ok, WMP11 looks pretty touchscreen friendly and he probably won't care if he has to use that for music. I also found this:

http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/

If you need to mirror video/DVD or 3D applications: this may or may not work, depending on the application and operating system.

From that web site..

Wonder if it works..

BTW - You can easily create your own skin for WMP if your good with graphics..

Let me know what you think of ultramon, Polypro. I have the OrigenAE x15e and am using dual view for the two displays. I told myself that when SageTV's music thing gets better I'll use ultramon to clone the two displays at different resolutions. I'm still not certain that SageTV is there yet so I haven't tried.

Will do. It'll probably be another 2 weeks, I'm just ordering his parts now.
