Live TV Pause at the end of a show.

Hey guys. Jeff asked that I post my pausing/freezing issue in a new topic since it seems to be unrelated to the large thread of users with an unrecoverable freezing issue at the end of a show.

Mine is different in that live shows always pause for about 10 seconds after a show ends and a new one begins. In looking through the logs it seems that my colossus is ending the recording, then starting a new one. Pretty sure this is expected behavior, but there is a lot more activity in the log than just that in the 5-10 seconds after the end of a live program.

I've tried turning off always tune channel and it made no difference. Not sure what other settings could cause this behavior.

If you look at the log starting at 16:30 today that's when you'll see what I'm talking about. Log is attached.

Do you have seeker/fast_mux_switch=true set in your Sage.properties file? If you don't...then that's the problem. The delay is because the HDPVR startup is configured to wait after it sets the channel (event if it doesn't actually do it).

I'll check. In all the time I've used my colossus I didn't know that setting existed.

That setting is enabled. I was really hoping it would be that simple.

Ohhhh....you're using a network encoder with the Colossus. Find the fast_network_encoder_switch property for your Colussus in your SageTV server config (not the config on the network encoder, the normal Sage.properties location) and set that to true.
