As long as you are using the stock UI, it should show up under the "Online" menu. If you are using Gemstone, you have to copy the menu item from the stock UI.

Thanks for that tip. I did find that out searching the forums but I haven't had time yet to try it out.

I just tried connecting to a couple of Win v7 servers on which I do not have Placeshifter licenses registered, and the v9 miniclient connects without a "TRIAL" warning. I don't think I've ever seen the warning with the Open Source miniclient ...

Thanks for checking on this. Not sure why it is happening to me though. What device are you using the v9 miniclient? I'm using the first generation Fire TV at the moment.

To avoid the license check for v7, use these: forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php

I'm guessing he was trynig to link to this:
https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56225 But those simply allow v5 and v6 licenses to activate the v7 server. They do nothing to relax the miniclient licensing limits.

I've used it on several devices including both Linux desktops and Android devices. the Android platforms I've run most recently that work without issue are the MiBox, a no-name TV stick, and an Ordoid C2 ...

I had a FireTV 1st gen and completely gave up on it. I just bought a MiBox and it works incredibly well.
I have an old USB hub and Ethernet adapter that I had laying around and both worked perfectly. So I currently have the Ethernet adapter, a Flirc, keyboard and mouse connected. All worked without any intervention. So the only issue I am having right now is getting long presses working on my Harmony 650. Or getting codes that do all of the functions the long press menu would do. It's very close though. And it performs better with Gemstone than my HD-200. |

I had the Flirc setup to work with the FireTV already and those commands seem to work just fine except for the long press. And I had it setup for Kodi, which I had been experimenting with on the FTV. Kodi also works quite a lot better on the MiBox and the remote just worked on that too. So I didn't have to change the Harmony setup at all from what I had done on the FTV.

I just used an MCE profile on the Harmony and then programmed the Flirc using that. The Flirc has an FTV profile, as well as Kodi and a few others.

Thanks. I will probably go this route at some point.
