HD300 Problems Streaming live tv

Although I'm having great success streaming recorded tv and stored avi's I am having trouble streaming tv shows live. This is std def not hd either. It will play for 2-3 seconds then pause for 2-3 seconds ... repeating. Are there known issues or tuning/best practices I should be considering before opening a ticket?

Server is on ethernet (100Mb).
HD300 is using sage supported wireless n device. 100% signal, ch11.
Server: Sage6.6.2 using SageMC 6.3.9a, 2 HVR-1600, analog cable source.

Yea my new HD300 was doing the same thing.. I went into the configuration and de-delected all the video modes I don't want (ie in my case I just left 1080i)
Works fine after that.

After doing more investigating I've limited the issue to the HDMI input. Using Component or composite works flawlessly. Working w/ sage support to identify why I see significant freezing w/ HDMI. I suspect it has something to do w/ up converting the 480i signal coming from the server ... but unknown at this point.
