Trouble after upgrading V7 to V9
I just attempted an upgrade over V7 to V9 (Windows 10).
Installation went fine - no problems there. When I restarted I got the splash screen and it got stuck on "Initializing". Found a thread the told me to delete the old Lucerne*.jar file. Did that and was able to start. Now the big problem... My tuners lost their channel configuration. The tuners are present but no channels listed at all (HDPVR & HVR-22500). I also have the following errors... "The Plugin "Lucerne-core" is missing...." That makes sense since I deleted the old jar file but I'm not sure how to recover. Also got a "No EPG Server License Key Specified". ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED! Thanks

I imagine these two issues are related:
Did you enter your license key when you ran the installer? If not, you might try running it again and enter your key.

I didn't get the prompt when I tried to setup the tuner with Gemstone active. I had to switch back to the SageTV7 STV in order to get the prompt. I entered it in and now it's looking a little better. Still have to see if all my channels are back.

I don't think the installer provides a way to enter your password anymore since you can now do this in the UI.

Why are key's needed?
Just for some epg ? And can you link the delete file post? I have the same issue after a v7-v9 upgrade java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: Lucene_36 Last edited by Sector7g; 12-06-2016 at 03:47 AM. |

Success!
So I re-imaged my drive back to V7 and started all over. This time I did it a little different.... 1. Exported my channel lineups (just in case) 2. Made a copy of the SageTV folder (just in case) 3. Made a new image of the hard drive (just in case) 4. Stopped and disabled the SageTV service 5. Deleted Lucene-core-3.0.1.jar and Lucene-core-3.0.1.jar.607 (this caused some problems the 1st time around) 6. Installed V9 with no problems 7. Started SageTV 8. Updated plugins 9. Looking good so far. I didn't lose my channel lineup like last time. EPG looks okay. 10. Exited SageTV and re-enabled and started the SageTV service 11. Opened up Sage again an enabled Gemstone UI 12. So everything looks good ...but wait...just looked at the system again (a few hours from the successful install) and noticed that the EPG is looking for the Server License Key. 13. Switched the UI back to SageTV.xml (Gemstone does not prompt you to enter the License). 14. Went to tuner setup and selected EPL Lineup. 15. Entered my unbelievably long key. 16. Switched back to Gemstone Wait and see.....
