Trouble upgrading to 7.1.8 [RESOLVED]

I just ran the installer for 7.1.8
Towards the end of the install an error flashed up. I didn't catch it though so I don't remember what it said. Then the installer said that it completed successfully. However, when I check the version in sage it still says 7.1.7.256
I tried to re-run the set up for 7.1.8 and I have the option to repair. When I do I still get verison 7.1.7 Any ideas?

If the old version is still running, then either the new install didn't complete or was somehow installed to a new location w/o uninstalling the old one automatically. I would first double check that there aren't two installs.

You could uninstall the current version, leave the properties, database, and other files in place, then install the new beta. Be sure to choose the old installation's path when running the new installer. Oh, and try downloading the v7.1.8 installer again in case the first attempt resulted in a corrupt file.
