Won't accept my v7 key? [RESOLVED]

Just reinstalled everything on a win7 machine, but it will not accept my upgrade key. Getting a message that the key is invalid or a duplicate. When I go to start the UI on the server (which is intended to be headless), it mentions that there is a trial period. However, sage does run as a service. Am I activated or not?

Also, where can I see which keys for extenders I have installed?

If it's an upgrade key, you must enter your old V6 key first to prove you're eligible for an upgrade. It will then prompt you again for the upgrade key.

If it's a new full license key (purchased since Dec 09) then that's the only key you need to enter.

I get the same thing when I enter my original key from 2007. The only option I have is to register an extender or placeshifter license, so it seems like the server software itself is already registered.

Try this:

1. Stop the service and disable it.
2. Run SageTV.exe from a command prompt with the REGISTER command line option (Appendix D of the manual).
3. Enter your V6 key when prompted.
4. Enter your V7 upgrade key when prompted.
5. Quit Sage back to Windows.
6. Use the separate Start menu icon to register any Placeshfiter or Extender licenses.
7. Re-enable and start the service.
