Auto-Accept when using Numeric Remote Buttons to Change Channels?
My poor old Sony TV has a "feature," if you can call it that, that when you enter only 1 or 2 digits of a channel, after a 2-3 second time-out, it automatically goes to that channel.
Sage, on the other hand, requires 3 digits to be entered, or it ignores the previous inputs. Is there a way to have Sage accept either a 1 or 2 digit numeric input, and then auto-accept that channel? It would be kind of like having Sage do an "OK" after the time-out occurs, because I think if I hit 2 digits, then OK, it will go to that channel, but it's annoying to have to try and do that... Am I missing a setting in Sage somewhere, or can I modify the properties file to fix this? |

No there is no option currently to have it automatically switch to the entered channel after some timeout period.
What you could do, however, is enter all three digits, starting with 0, if necessary: '005' for channel 5, for example. - Andy

Opus, I'm sitting on the couch already, not wanting to get up to do anything, so what makes you think I want to hit '0' twice before changing to channel 5? LOL. Acutally, it doesn't bother me that much, but it's more of a WAF thing. She was used to only hitting 2 digits, and then waiting for it to go to that channel after about a couple seconds. We are using analog cable, so we don't even get any channels higher than 100. |
