USB-UIRT Sends 3 Of Each Digit When Changing Channels With SageTV
I am trying to get a Pace RNG150N Xfinity X1 box to work with my V7 Sage server, using a USB-UIRT and a Colossus card. I have set the Remote Control options to 3 digits per channel, I have programmed the 'OK' button as a Confirm code, and have tried setting the IR Blaster repeat factor to 1 rather than the default 3, but I keep getting three of each of the three digits I am sending - i.e. instead of the box receiving 811 it is 'seeing' 888111111. I am so close to getting this box to work...
anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance! |

Wondering how you solved this, since I didn't see any follow-up posts, and I didn't see any similar posts from others with this box.
Comcast / Xfinity installed FTH (fiber to home) system at my house today, so had to upgrade equipment. Part of the deal was they installed an X1 box. Apparently their system doesn't let you mix and match X1 and legacy equipment, which meant all my boxes had to change, including the one I use with Sage. I had been using a Pace RNG150N with Sage, they replaced it with an X1-RNG150N. I think its the same hardware, but a different operating system. Even though it can work with the same remote, the interface is different and it doesn't respond the same. On the old box if you typed "35" and waited, it would change to channel 35. On the new box if you type "35" it brings up a search dialog with channel 35 as the first choice in the list followed by a bunch of items that would match using numeric-text search (where 3 could mean 3,D,E,or F, and 5 could mean 5, J, K, or L). It will wait on the search results screen until you press OK. Also, I see the same issue with the USBUIRT where it repeats each digit. Anyway, I think I figured out the fix. First, I had to teach it the "OK" button on the remote. Then, I had to edit the IR file to make the repeat count = 1. Then I had to configure Sage to send the OK button at the end of each channel change. I thought I'd share in case anyone else runs into this. I am attaching my .ir file also (note- just remove the .txt extension to use. Also, this is setup for Zone 2 of a multi-zone USBUIRT system).
