Randomly losing digit when changing channels...

Hi folks,

Thanks to help from a lot of you, I've been successfully using SageTV for a few weeks now, and loving it.

One small problem is bothering me lately, though. Every once in a while, when I punch in a 3 digit channel on the remote (FYI...using Hauppauge remote w/ IR Blaster into PVR-150, changing channels on an Expressvu STB) the satellite box randomly drops one digit. For instance, today I tried to key into channel 255, and ended up on channel 55 instead. The other day, I tried 408 and ended up on channel 48. As you can see, it's not like it crops off the first or last digit every time...it's just a random digit. And I know the signal is being sent from the blaster because I see it flash red 3 times (one for each digit). It seems like my STB is just not receiving one digit for whatever reason.

Now, it's not the tuning that bothers me...I can always manually change it to the right channel. The problem is that this happens during my recordings, and ends up recording the wrong show.

Is there any way to fix this problem? Is it possible that my STB doesn't like the speed at which the digits are coming out from the IR Blaster?

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has run into this issue before, and/or has any suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

Since you are using the 150's blaster, I suggest contacting Hauppauge to see if there are any settings that might help. As far as I know, SageTV just uses the 150's blaster via the Hauppauge software & has no direct control over it.

I just got my system up and running for about a week, but I've noticed the exact same problem with my PVR 150 blaster, just not using Sage TV, but another PVR program. I'm also using an IR/RF extender (Terk/LeapFrog) and I was afraid that was causing the problem, but as I understand you have straight connection, and it might be my Leapfrog is ok and not causing it. I've tried to play around with the advanced settings in IR blaster Configuration, but so far without luck.

I would say my problem is in most cases that the first digit is lost, it does occur with other digits but it is rare.
