Import/Export

I setup some custom backgrounds on my server, a different pic for each of the themed settings (TV, videos, photos, etc) and then exported to file. I then went to an HD300 extender and was able to easily import those settings (or rather, the custom backgrounds).

Is there a similar way to do this on a Sage Client computer? I noticed that the import didn't bring the images, it brought the filenames as a black background, but not the actual jpg image files.

You have 2 choices....

- place the background image files manually in the same location on the server AND the PC client. Note: if the images are in a sub folder of the SageTV root folder in both locations this will work even if the client and server have a different path to the SageTV folders.

OR

- place the background images on a shared drive that both the Server AND the PC client can see and the select them again in the client you plan to export from.

PS: the export is settings only - so the images need to be managed separately.

I went with option 1, worked just fine, thank you.

More importantly, thank you for your fantastic work on Gemstone! I've been running it on a 2500k SSD based server, clients, and extenders, and it's been nothing but joy ever since I started using it.
