How do I edit externalid?

My EPG provider does not list F2A channels which display movies as "movies". My grabber etc now shows these movies as 'SHXXXXXXX" instead on "MVXXXXXXX".
How can I change the externalid to show this?

In BMT, you can navigate to a show, and then use the Edit RAW Metadata tab and then look for the ExternalID field listed.

Or, if you disable the "Preserve Original Metadata for Recordings" setting from the Configuration panel (just search for preserve in the configuration search) and uncheck this value, and save). You can then edit the ExternalID or or any other EPG value from the main bmt editor page.

I couldn't find the "externalid" in the BMT raw metadata.

I already have "preserve...." unchecked.

Sorry, I thought that externalid was one of the fields that you could edit, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

If your item is marked as a Sage Recording, then you can uncheck that and save. That should change the external id field to MF####. You might be able to edit the field then. The externalid is not a field that you should mess with lightly, that's why it's such a hard field to change.

You can also take a look at Nielm's web server... he may have an option to change that field, I'm not sure.
