ExternalID and Series & Episode Numbers

Hi,
I have been playing with BMT on a v7 install, and have come across an issue I have not found a fix for.
Using BMT to import a TV series from DVD into Sage Recordings. I am doing the BMT updates manually for the moment to see how it works. Same steps for each episode.
Files are named "A TV Series S02E01.avi" etc. BMT finds all metadata and saves it correctly for each episode.
In SageTV the TV/Recordings/Customized Recordings (Malore) List, for some episodes I get just the "episode name and first air date", and for others I get something like "2E01 - episode name and first airdate", which is my preference.

Looking at the BMT Metadata the only difference I can see is in the field ExternalID
for an episde that does not display episode info it is is something like EPmtdd2ae4f
for an episode that does display the episode info it is something like EPmt72546S02E10 (ie has the series and episode info in it).

Any thoughts on what would cause this to be so or best way to fix. I have tried a remove, restart Sage, re-import to no effect.
Thx...

I can't help you with your problem, but the externalids are suspicious. Both are bmt ids, but the first one is a format from bmt 3.x and early versions of bmt4. The latter is the format is what bmt uses now. So, the older EP id if from a file that was handled by bmt at some point, but a long time ago.

As for the display, bmt does not add Season and Episode information to titles. it simply stores the values and lets the UI decided what to show. In 3.x and some early versions of 4.0, I did format the display titles, but that is not something that bmt does now, but there are plugins that are responsible for doing that.

You could try rescanning a folder with some of your tv files, and forcefully overwrite metadata, that should ensure that you have correct metadata fields.

Thx I played around with manually editing the metadata and it has what I want now. I think I also has similair problmes to Razrsharp in his thread., but all ok now.....

One odd thing I have come across is (BMT 4.9.7)
I am importing the files as SageTV recordings....
If I Batchupdate all files in a folder Using "Update Metadata" button and I later (after re-import scan) go to the view Sage Video Imports (Combined) view the files are not there, which is fine as they are in Sage Video imports and TV Series view.
One file did not get Metadata so If I manually update just one show on its own, by highlighting it and using the "Find Metadata" button. Saving this etc.
This one file remains in the Sage Video Imports (Combined) View, as well as appearing in the Sage Video imports and TV Series views as expected, after rescans for imported media files.

Looking at the detailed metadata under the Blue icon in the bottom RHS for each file the only diff i can see in the metadata is the property
IsLibraryFile is set to true for any shows I have manually pulled down the metadata for in BMT, BUT
IsLibraryfile is set to false for shows batch updated by BMT
This seems to be the case for other files in other directories I have as well.

Does this make any difference to things???
It has no impact in SageTV itsef that I can see, just in these BMT browser views.

It probably doesn't make a difference. IsLibraryFile is SageTV's way of identifying an achived recording and it has no meaning outside of recordings. I'm not sure why one would say true vs false, but if these are imported recordings, and you checked the archived flag in the web ui (which is only visible for recordings) then that would set IsLibraryFile to true.
