How to Edit Properties File

Hello,

I know I'm probably missing something small, but it's driving me crazy. I'm trying to edit the EPG settings (# rows, cols, font, etc) in what I think is the right file, but nothing seems to be happening. The file I'm editing is C:\Program Files\Sage TV\Sage TV\Sage.properties. I edit it with Notepad, save it, shut down Sage (Right-click tray icon, "Exit SageTV", not standby), verify no other processes are running in Task Manager, then restart Sage.

It's my first time ever fooling with the properties file, but it can't be that hard! I'm running SageTV version 5.0.4.92 if it matters. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Xig,

You must shut down Sage completely before editing the properties file or your changes won't take. HTH

Aloha,
Mike

BTW: before jumping to the properties file, use the Options command on some screens to see what can be customized in the UI -- the Program Guide's options menu allows configuring quite a few things.
