Online Download Directory

Sage Server, Sage Clients.

I haven't used the Online portion of Sage for a while, and yesterday went to YouTube to look at a vid. Attempted to hit the Record button on the remote, and coudn't locate the video on the drive after it was done.

I recalled mucking with a setting in the Sage.properties file on my Sage server to set the default download directory a while back, and sure enough, it was not correct. I shut down Sage on the server, ensured the service was stopped, and proceeded to edit and save my changes. Fired up the service, took a look at the .properties file, and it showed the path I entered. On Client, back to Youtube, and tried again. Record light came on again, and things appeared to be working. Kept refreshing the RDP window to see the file being created. Nothing. After video was finished, reopened the server .properties file, and the path reverted to what it was originally.

Repeated the above process again, same result. Repeated again, and also changed the line in the Sage.properties.backup file as well. Same result. Did a look through the Sage directories to see if I could find a file that may contain the setting and might be merging at startup. No luck. Also checked all the Settings in the Sage software after running the GUI on the server, and can't seem to locate anything in their to adjust the setting.

I know its probably a brain foof, but I'm stumped.

the online save directory is now \\HOMESERVERVideosVideos - Web, and I'm trying to point it to \\HOMESERVER\Videos\Videos - Web.

I did try the path as \\HOMESERVER\Videos\Videos - Web and \\\\HOMESERVER\\Videos\\Videos - Web, and it keeps reverting to the invalid \\HOMESERVERVideosVideos - Web.

Any help is appreciated. Now that I know its broken, I all of a sudden want to use it haha..

Realize this thread is old, but was this ever resolved? As far as I can tell Sage tries to save to the first directory in the Import List and I can't find a way to manually specify / over ride it.

Any help on this appreciated. Thanks.

If you are running sagetv as a service you need to go into services and stop the service, otherwise it won't save the change in the properties file.

Stopping the service won't be a problem. What I'm looking for is the entry in the properties file that specifies the save location. It's currently saving to \\Server\Photos but repeated searches through the properties file for that string doesn't reveal anything meaningful
