Upload / Download / Hosting site for STV files now online
Just wanted to let everyone know over here that HTPCnews.com finally has the section ready to go for hosting STV files and any other customization of front ends.
HTPCnews.com File Manager It'll allow you to upload a screenshot of your modified SageTV, a "description" of the file, and the file itself. All files will be subject to approval (so no one tries to upload porn) but we have all the moderators at HTPCnews.com watching the area and are ready to "approve" files asap. After the file has been approved, it'll also get it's own thread in a SageTV STV Files forum located at HTPCnews.com where people can make comments on your file and hopefully will become a place of discussion. Currently the filesize limit is 8mb and there is a timeout after 6 minutes of uploading. If these seem to small and you have a timeout occur while uploading, just let me know and i'll make the #'s a little larger. Thanks everyone!

Sorry, everyone can now do what you were talking about. I had left out plain "members" originally while I was setting up the file manager for testing purposes. Now that it works, it's open.
Have at it !

Also, I would love to see everyone in the private testing group who has stv files ready to go, put them up over there. It'll allow you to edit your own files that you upload (ie if you make a file revision) as well as track your downloads, how many people have viewed the file, and the commenting area is now ready to go and accepts html if you place [dohtml] [/dohtml] tags around your post.
I'm still working on the layout just a little, but overall functionality is there.
