SageTV Client Hangs on "Initializing Connection"

The title says it all. All of a sudden I can't get the client's to connect to the server. All the hosts can see all the other hosts on the system, there are no firewalls, nothing changed that I can tell.

I'm using 7.0.23 but the same happened with the most recent version.

Anyone have any ideas?

In my case, the exe.
The message is on SageTV clients splash screen. I have 3 extenders running no problem, just trying to get a PC client running again. Fresh install of Windows 7, all patched up, and SageTV client.

I believe this is a firewall issue, just havent needed this client enough to poke around.

Here is a link to a post on what ports need to be opened and sort for SageTV:

Hope this helps,

The client and server versions are both 7.0.23?

They have to be the same or the client won't see the server.

Well, my issue appears to have been a version mismatch at first and then a registration key issue. I have resolved both.

Now, if I could only get rid of that stutter on the ION client that precipitated this whole thing . . .
