Playing TV shows without multi-level pop-up dialog

If I click on a TV show it brings up a TV show dialog with options to 'play', 'set watched' etc. Then if I select/click 'play' a dialog pops up and asks if I want to 'resume' or 'restart from beginning'. It requires three clicks to begin playing a show.

If I press play it only pops up the dialog which asks if I want to 'resume' or 'restart from beginning'

Is there an option to configure it so that when I select / click on a show it does the same as when I press play?

NO, if you want to bypass the detailed info screen hit play. If you want to see the details, hit select. You'll get used to it eventually.

This is counter-intuitive - they should be reversed.

Using a 10' display / remote all the primary actions should be taken through the 'Select' button. All users have been trained for years to do this - I cannot think of a single device that violates this usability.

Please change the paradigm or make this configurable.
