HD300 not playing shows from HD-PVR[RESOLVED]

Hi all,

I have an HD300 that seems to have a problem playing shows captured via my Hauppauge HD-PVR. When I select a show captured from the HD-PVR, it brings up the screen like it wants to play it, with the green timeline down at the bottom. Then the entire line goes tan, and I never see anything.

I am running Sage 7.17 on a Win 7 64 bit server, and the files do have something (I can view them via the client on the server). I have tried both the official firmware, and the latest beta firmware (v7.17.1, I believe).

I also have recordings that were made from a PVR-150 and PVR-250, and some recordings from a HDHomeRun. All these recordings work as expected.

None of the recordings from the HD-PVR work. I have tried both HD and SD type shows, and none work.

Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be, or how I can figure out what the might might be?

Looks like the HD300 doesn't like H.264 files. I thought the hd300 supports h.264 files natively? Or am I missing something?

My content is from colossus (h264) and mkv with h264. all render perfect on the hd300.

do the capture files play in any other player?

I play files from the HD PVR (H.264) on a regular basis with both my HD300s and my older HD100s. Not sure what your issue is, but I would put in a trouble ticket. It should just work.

Filed a ticket with Sage, and after posting some debug logs, I was told that I had a faulty install, which didn't setup the device capabilities correctly. I needed to uninstall and reinstall sagetv, and then run a reindex. That seems to fix the problem.

Just wanted to let others know there was a resolution.
