HD300 tunes to TV when nothing is playing - resolved
I'm just getting setup up with my new HD300.
My current problem is that it insists on playing something at all times. If I don't have a video playing, it grabs one of my server's tuners and switches to TV. If I hit stop, it stops, retunes and continues. This can be a problem since all of my tuners are sometimes in use recording shows and that would kill a recording (and I don't know how to get sage not to do that). Right now, I'm running the latest beta firmware since I had problems with the sage wireless network not playing well with my router (my router keeps rebooting when it's connected to the sage wireless) -- and I wanted to see if it was the firmware. That was not the problem, but haven't tried to go back to a non-beta firmware yet. (Right now, I'm hardwired, but that must change soon).

Use the Options command on just about any menu to configure the Video Menu Options -> Display Video on Menus & make sure it is not set to "Always". It is probably easiest to do from the Main Menu.

That was the right menu -- but it needed to be set to "if active" (being set to "always" was my problem).
