how to stop a recording in progress

So this might seem like a dumb question but I have never learned how to do it. When a recording is set to record for like 3 hours, and you decide in the middle of it that you don't want to record it anymore (like when the orioles are getting beaten into submission) I want to stop the recording. How do you do it?

If it's a manual, bring up the recording options and choose Cancel.

If it's a favorite, you'll have to mark it Watched or something. Or you could just let it record and delete it later.

Or install the Multi Function Stop plugin from the SageTV Plugins manager. It gives you the option to stop the recording immediately from the Record Options menu.

awesome...thanks. I thought I had read through every plugin but Don't recall that one. Finally after using sage for 5 years.... I can stop a recording once it has started.

Kinda a weird thing to not include in the base app, but oboviously it didn't upset me too much as I am just now asking about it.
