Series/Episodes infos deleted during guide updates

everyday after the guida data are updated (xmltv import - as i live in europe) some of the series/episoded informations get deleted, some stay where they are. these infos are usually automatically imported by bmt after the recording finishes. this drives me completly mad, as there seem to be shows where the infos are deleted others stay untouched - and i can not figure our the logic of which shows' metadata are deleted and what to do to avoid that.
any idea what causes this ?

For recordings (for whatever reason, I'm not sure), SageTV does appear to "reload" the metadata for those items from time to time. My recommendation, is that if you disabled sagetv from creating .properties, then I'd re-enable that option so that each recording gets a .properties as well. That way, if sagetv does reload the recording for whatever reason, then at least the .properties will have a backup of the metadata.

I am fairly certain that bmt is not clearing the metadata, since it doesn't do that.

found that, option was enabled. I am shure that sagetv core is deleting these infos, as it happens only during guide updates. Anyway, it does not happen to others?

couldnt it also be the xmltv import that is deleting the info as it only happens during guide updates? I have never used the xmltv import function as i live in the US and get zap2it guide data but am just thinking out loud.. especially since season/episode support in the core is relatively new.. .maybe the epg importer needs to be updated...

thanks for the hint - it must be the epg update process, but why are the infos for the elder recordings (made 1 week before) updated then ? i would be happy if sage lets them keep untouched...
