what is the max number of movies/highest MyMovies index id thing the SMM supports?

I as because I am having an issue... a rather strange issue...
once I go over ~ 600 movies/entries/MyMovies index number I start having issues with SMM...
the issues are:
new movies added, with an index greater than 600 (at work at the moment, not sure the exact number, maybe 603 or something like that)
in list view:
no Cover art shows up
no fan art shows up
the movie description/summery/meta data will be for the last MM ID <600 that you viewed...
the database goes into a constant state of rebuilding...
selecting the movie will usually play the correct thing...

I fixed this issue once by deleting my MM database and starting fresh... but I had a lot of 'holes' before, so once everything was re entered my highest MM index/ID number was only ~580 is or so...
but than I found out amazon had a bunch of HDDVD's for under $4, and so, um, well, now I am back up to that 600 number and having the exact same problems as before...

the problem doesn't appear to be on MM side, as all the movies show up there just fine... also, my CQC MyMovies driver gets the cover art just fine... so it appears MM is working just fine...

Sage can play the movies just fine, so I think we can rule out anything on sages side...

so that just leaves SMM's separate database/file thingy... does it have some hard limit of 600 id's or something like that built into it? How do I make SMM be happy again? I really prefer when SMM is happy...

No limit like that... I have ~2400 and it works fine. Did you try to rebuild the database using the option under the API in the plugins section? I've had corruption every so often and this normally fixes it. I think once I had to manually delete the database and then let SMM rebuild it and then it worked fine.

Either way, there is no limit at 600 and you likley have a corrupt database... which isn't too hard to fix from my experience

I cant rebuild the database from the api... as it says it already is in a constant state of "in progress"

I have tried stopping sage and deleting the actual file, but that doesn't help either...

it seems the threat of a Plucky Intervention has convinced SMM to start working correctly again... will grab the logs if it does it again...

perhaps I should just threaten SMM with a Plucky Intervention more often? maybe just schedule a task to do it automatically every week as a preventative maintenance?

Actually, The MYMovies Web Service was down & That was causing lots of folks databases to become temporarily messed up. Which then caused SMM to go into a state of perpetual update.
I saw this myself when I tried to add a new movie day before yesterday.
I went back & deleted the offending title & then re added it & now all is well.
