Sorry Plucky, what do you mean by Native mode? Ripping it to folders instead of ISO?

Ok, gotcha... thankfully most of mine are either individual episodic rips or in folder mode. So I can make the transition for the few that I have in ISO. Hopefully you can do something with the data sometime

I got this to work as well. however i had to start with an empty database and add each movie again individually in order for the front covers to show.

when i imported my old database everything appeared to work but never could get front covers to show in smm.

Weird... definately didn't do that. I've been slowly adding the TV series info. It's a pain! Hoping we can do something with it Would be cool to have it actually in the TV menu instead of in the SMM view.

Unfortunately Mymovies has been put back a month (to May) due to them adding extra functionality and adding more resources to WHS.

Linky

Was really hoping this and SMM would get released sooner so I can get some proper metadata for my TV specials - at least we should get a really good release when everything comes together

Where was that announced? The 1.6.1.5 prerelease works on WHS v1 doesn't it?

"My Movies for Windows Home Server 1.6.1.5 Pre Release can be used with My Movies 4.00 or 3.19 clients."

EDIT: Gah I found it. So it will support MyMovies 4, just not the tv feature or any other additional features in the future. Maybe it will motivate me to move to v2 but I doubt it.

"There is also a lot of difference in supported, and not updated.
My Movies for WHS V1 will be supported, but it will not get new features."

"There will be a 3.20 with a WHS V1 following it tomorrow.
There will for now not be a WHS V1 with TV Series support. "

Right yeah here is the whole thread

http://www.mymovies.dk/forum.aspx?g=posts&t=23874

basically it will work without tv support. So you can hack and use a client to monitor Tv series but backups would be incomplete.

This motivated me off whs v1. Well this, combined with dropping DE, and the 81% backup bug, motivated me off WHS completely.

I can't believe i "upgraded" to Vista

Well I have been working on it and Ripper I know what you are waiting for.

I worked this weekend on a huge test collection of TV and mymovies has an amazing hit rate I must say on TV. I am highly impressed. This has given me motivation to start using it for my TV which in turn motivates me to get it into sagetv. I have started testing and coding the core functions of it. It is a complete new set of data tables and storing so it isn't going to be as easy as I had hoped, but definately on my list.

Right now I am trying to decide if I really want to extend the SMM UI to TV but leaning towards no. What I think I am going to do is write a MM_TV_API that gets all the good mymovies tv data into the sagetv core so it will work with diamond or other options.

cheers

Plucky,
Exactly what i was hoping i was waiting for

If you are putting out feelers for opinions.

1. I also am very impressed with the Tv hit rate, and the community seems very active about getting content in, so A++ on that as well.
2. I am torn about farming data for sage core, or Having a SageMyTvSeries type interface option. While i currently think I would prefer the latter (as i dont use diamond yet) working toward integrating with the core would benefit many more.
3. That being said, learning and coding #2 above would hopefully spill back into mymovies, making that data available to the core as well, also benefiting diamond.

And therefore. YES YES YES
