What does archiving mean?
Hello there,
I have read through the pdf manual and done searches about archived recordings. I find a lot of info about how to tell if a recording is archived, how to filter by it, etc. But I don't understand what the difference between an archived recording and a non-archived recording is. I know this probably sounds silly, but I am not getting it. Sorry =/ Thank you for your time Les |

There isn't much more to it than that. It's basically just a way to tag recordings for filtering purposes. It doesn't actually move the files anywhere.

I believe the archive status removes the recording from being subject to the auto-delete rules too. If you allow Sage to dump old recordings to make room for new ones when you run out of space if it's archived it will be safe.

I guess I just assumed there was more to 'archiving' then that though. Thanks to you both for the info |
