Two HD-PVR on Same USB Controller

Is anyone successfully running two HDPVR's on a single, on-board USB controller? Anyone doing that on XP?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a second HDPVR, and I'm curious about this issue.

TIA

- Jeff

I have 2 HD-PVRs working fine, both hooked to a powered USB hub connected to my PC running XP Pro. This is the 2nd PC with the same HD-PVR connections. Some people have no issues while others get constant lockups. Everyone has their own theories why, but there doesn't seem to be conclusive proof of any single problem - my lockups stopped on my first PC when I put electrical tape over the IR receiver and updated the driver; those steps were done at the same time, so I don't know which one might have done it. For all I know, my cable box coincidentally started outputting a stable image at the same time.

In short: you'll probably just have to try it to see if it works for you, but I'm guessing it will work for most people.

I have three all plugged into the motherboard on my Dell server running 2K3 Server. I believe there is only a single controller.

I also have tape over the IR receivers, the latest drivers, and started with a fresh .properties file in version 7.
