HD PVR interferes with HD Controller

I never thought to post this for some reason b/c it just become very normal for me. I use RAID 1 on my OS drive and also use an IDE controller with some older drives that I have. I use the latest version of HD PVR Driver. When I usually boot up my computer, two of my HD's don't show up and my OS drive needs to rebuild. This happens about 85% of the time. If I run the driver install program, the drives show up fine and eventually the OS drive rebuilds at least until I reboot. I don't reboot that often so it doesn't bother me much. The HD PVRs have generally worked pretty well (funny how my definition of "well' has changed since HD PVR), with only a few seconds of pause per hour and maybe an actual lockup once a month. Something tells me there's no solution out there for my problem and that I should be happy not to have worse problems but in case anyone struggles with missing drives, HD PVR could be the problem.
