Stopping a recording in progress

I don't know if I am overlooking something, But I can't find anyplace to stop a recording currently in progress. I have malore menus activated, But I stopped the malore menus and still can't find an option to stop a recording that is currently recording. Is there a way to do this?

I ran into this same issue last night Basically my IR blaster failed to blast the right channel, so I just wanted to stop the recording and have sagetv record the next showing. Because I only have a single tuner, for now, I ended up going the guide, changing to a different channel, which gave me the option of stopping the recording.

I thought about marking it was watched, but my fear there, would be that sagetv would not try to record it again, which I needed it to do.

It seems to me that pressing stop when you are watching a live recording, should probably give the option of either stopping/deleting the recording, or to bring you back to the last menu.

I think if you actually go to the recording and start watching it and press stop you are presented with an option to cancel the recordings. The problem is none of the choices are really obvious. Especially to new users.

That's actually what i did... but i don't recall any options when I pressed stop. it just stopped playback and put me in the recordings menu. I'll give it try another time, because what I expected was the behaviour your mentioned... but I didn't see that.

This option is from a customization.

If you stop live TV, the recording will stop. If it is a Manual recording, use the Record command to cancel the recording. If it is a Favorite, it will usually just continue recording since there isn't an option to cancel recording that airing -- Watch or Don't Like can affect it, but not always immediately.

I've had this problem a few times - very frustrating!

In searching through old posts on the issue I found that if it is a 'Favorite' there is no stop or cancel presented as an option. If I recall the only way is to set it to 'Watched'. What's odd though is I think it has happened a couple of times when we had no favorites. So wonder why this might have happened?

I think this stopping issue is quite unintuitive and should be revisited by Sage.

Andy's post came in while I was writing my previous one.

I still think all the solutions mentioned are not very intuitive. And I'm confused as to what "This option is from a customization" means?

Thanks,
Rod

Probably the Multi-Stop plugin. Sorry about that. Didn't meant to confuse the issue.

I think people are looking for a big fat "Stop this Recording" button or option. Regardless if it is recording from a Favorite or a manaul. Anything that needs to be done needs to coorus in the background. (cancel recording for manual and somehow provide the same function for a favorite.) The plugin helps fill this gap.
