stopping scheduled shows from recording?

Hi-

I have Sage set up to record with suggestions, but the suggestions are generally terrible (just not quite terrible enough for me to turn them off completely). That's an issue for another post, though.

Here's the question: When I'm scrolling through the list of upcoming recordings and I see shows I definitely don't want to watch (as in, I tell it to record South Park and now it thinks I want every animated children's show on the Cartoon Network, including all of the 4AM anime specials), how do I tell it NOT to record those upcoming suggestions?

I've tried pressing the delete button. I've set the shows to "don't like," often many times. I've begged, pleaded, and whined. It just keeps on recording this junk! I get enough value out of suggestions to keep the feature turned on, I just want more control over it.

Use Don't Like to get rid of IR shows you don't want recorded.

Sometimes you may need to say that you don't like several episodes of a series and/or you could try this option: Detailed Setup -> Customize -> Use aggressive negative profiling for Intelligent Recordings.

It never made a lot of sense to me that you have to Don't Like shows repeatedly for IR to MAYBE (and often NOT ever, it seems) get the message.

I added Favorite Excluder to my UI and now I just exclude a program once and it never records it again, even if IR or a broadly defined Favorite schedules it repeatedly.

There are shows that I've marked as "don't like" every day for a week and they still show up recorded in Sage, so something doesn't seem to be working. Also, even if we mark them as "don't like" in the upcoming recordings list they still seem to be recording. Eventually we can sometimes train the IR to stop, but it certainly isn't working well right now. I have had agressive negative profiling turned on for quite a while. I haven't tried Favorite Excluder yet, so I'll give that a shot.
