Video Library Cover Art Load Very Slowly

Cover Art for my library of DVDs (around 100) loads very slowly on my HD300.

In comparison, it loads instantaneously on my software SageTV clients.

Is there a way to improve load speeds?

There is a sage.properties setting that helps:

ui/enable_hardware_scaling_cache=true

This is for a HD300.

There does not appear to be a "ui/enable_hardware_scaling_cache=true" in the "C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\Clients\0023a50000e0.properties" for the HD300. (file attached)

Should I add it?

Wrong properties file. It needs to go in the C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\sage.properties file.

It is a property of the Server itself? Not the client?

That is unusual... is there an explanation?

I wish setting this property would speed up video cover art loading on my HD200. Still seems slow to me at first startup. I thought this was something SageTV indicated early on in the v7 beta would improve by final release. I don't think it has; perhaps it is faster on the HD300. I find that all other navigation on my HD200(s) to be quite fast.

After using the setting - the HD300 is very fast. Navigation, Guide, Video Library Cover Art, Music Cover Art... almost no difference between my software based client and the HD300 now (barely noticeable).

I'm not sure why this isn't working for you, but it made a HUGE difference on both my MVP and HD-100 once I changed the properties value. Many thanks to KeithAbbot for this tip! I'd never heard of it before and it makes all the difference in the world with my system.
