Poster view crashing - Help please

I have SageTV running on WHS on a dual Xeon 2.8ghz setup. Am running Version 7.0.23 of the Sage software. I have the latest plugin updates pertaining to SMM. Collection Manager is 3.18 PR 4. I have 3gig of ECC ram. I had 4 gig but one stick was bad. Getting that replaced.

I am running HD200 extenders on my HD sets. Everything works fine except if I use the poster view in SMM. I can browse for awhile looking at descriptions & the fanart (backdrops). Once I've been browsing for a hundred or so titles then the fanart stops showing up. Then the browsing of posters starts to slow way down.

Restarting the extender does nothing to help this problem. The only thing that I have done that seems to work is to restart the SageTV service on the WHS machine. I have my Java Heap set at 1024. I do notice that on the WHS machine thru Task manager I am using about 2gig of ram usage. That should be fine since I have 3 gig of ram.

Also when this happens then the UI for the extender starts to go whacky. It get white lines in small portions of the screen.

Please let me know what info anyone needs to help me fix this problem.

Thanks

Phil

I think this may be memory overload but not sure.

Could you try turning the background fanart off and see if you can still recreate. These type issues are hard to pin down. The logs would maybe give some insight like Peter said.
