HDPVR Crash w/Loud Buzzing
I've just had Sage (v6, on Windows 7 -- and yes, I know it's not a supported configuration) lock up twice in the last 40 minutes while watching a previously recorded show. Both times the lockups occurred when the HDPVR -- which was recording something -- crashed (I could tell this because the blue light on the HDPVR went out in the middle of the recording).
At the same time the audio turned into a very loud buzzing sound. Has anyone else seen this? Is there a fix?

Sounds like you may have a bad HD-PVR unit
 (the loud buzzing sound may very well be from audio being stuck on as SageTV crashes)

I think you may be right. And, foolish me, I've been dealing with it ever since I bought it over a year ago. Well, here's hoping they have a liberal return policy...

Even if it is still under warranty the first thing they usually ask is does it happen when using the TME software or just with Sage. You may want to try letting it record for awhile with TME to see if it happens before you call.

What's TME? Some software that came with the HDPVR? I don't recall installing that.
