HD100 pixelation

I finally got my HD-PVR working on a new computer
AMD 4200x2 cpu
No only 10-30% cpu during recording.
Watching with SageTV TVclient computer works great.
BUT
HD100 has pixelation very bad on moving/changing objects.
Very bad blur with a 720p HD receiver.

HD100 and TV client works fine with HDhomerun

HD100 can't support H.264 ??

I have no problem using the HD-PVR with several HD-100 and there are lots of people that don't have problems either. So that is not an issue.

Since you are able to watch the shows on another client, I can think of two potential issues. The most likely is a network issue. The second is more of a stretch, but look to see what your java heap is set to. I think the default is generally too low. But normally a low java heap causes slowness and the spinning wheel. I cannot say I have seen it cause pixilation.

It could also be a defective unit, but I think the odds of that are very low too. Actually that line of thought brings up another question - have you had to replace the capacitors yet? If not, perhaps they are beginning to bulge/leak and causing this issue. I haven't seen anyone report a similar situation, but anything is possible!

I have a gigabit network
I do not know anything about Java heap

Yes I had replaced several capacitors when it died.
Several were swollen.
Remember I have two server
analog tuners which also have access to two dual hdhomerun

I switched to component output (was HDMI) from HD100 and problem seemed to go away

Interesting.
Thanks,
Ray
