BBC HD Suddenly jerky

Has anyone else found that BBC HD has gone all jerky? It looks like it's playing at (Very roughly) 10 frames per second.
Up until a couple of weeks ago it was playing fine, but now no matter what settings I use it's pretty much unwatcheable. All the other sky HD channels play smoothly other than perhaps Rush HD, which is similar to BBC HD.

Somewhat pleased to hear its not just me!

First noticed it during the England game on Sunday (hastily switched to SkyHD box at half time) but its persisted. Mix of stutter (noticed during football) and picture pixellating (evident during tennis). Thought it was either weak signal or overheating video card.

Wondering if the format and/or bitrate may have changed lately?

It would appear so. I'm also glad it's not just me
I've tried it on 4 different machines now with both NVidia and ATI cards, with various decoders. I'll do a short recording now and send it off to see if I can get a solution

I'm watching the tennis right now and it's fine.

We watch quite a lot of BBC HD so I think we'd have noticed if there was a problem here.

My kit is listed in my Public Profile and I'm running with the latest drivers and the latest Sage V7 beta on Windows 7 x64.

Not stuttering here, just tested. I'm viewing via HD200

So what's common about the people who are seeing it ? both using PC clients as opposed to HD200 (or Mac clients as I see)

BTW @jamedisco - is channel changing still slow on v7 ? Are they working on that ? I've held off upgrading for the timebeing..

I sent in a bug report about the slow tuning and got the following back.

Quote:
I found the issue. If you remove the line with
"mediafile_metadata_parser_plugins" from your properties file it should go
way faster. That's what's inducing the delay during the format detection.
You already have BMT installed which uses a new asynchronous method of
loading the metadata so you should experience no loss by doing this.
Further to this, it was also necessary to disable 4.0 version of BMT as it made use of this parser (and put the line back in each time I removed it). With the line removed and latest version of BMT tuning speed is back to 3-5 seconds.

Channel changing has been a bit slow and sometimes a 'no signal' then it appears. I have taken out the line as Mark SS instructed, i dont use BMT but did have it installed, it kept messing up my sageTV web access so uninstalled it. So i will try tonight and see if channel changing is quicker.
