BBC iPlayer

Anyone know if it is possible to access it through Sage? Even if it is only the flash version?

Thanks

It seems there are ways of doing this on on Freevo:

Anyone out there with the skill to get this into Sage?

There have been similar applications available for Mac & Linux for some months as until recently there was no iPlayer available for those platforms. I believe that they all use the h.264 files intended for the iPhone.

Further digging around that great site shows there is a great tool that will run on most platforms that can be used to download iplayer content:

http://linuxcentre.net/getiplayer/

Its a command line tool that amongst other things will list available shows, and download them. I'd hazard to guess that it should be fairly easy for someone with the appropriate programming skills (not me unfortunatly) to knock something together to get this into the Sage UI.

In the mean time a brute force approach could be used by using getiplayer's "pvr" functionality to just download any required programmes and dumping them in a directory structure that could be navigated from Sage.

The BBC iPlayer is now supported in Plex the Mac-specific version of XBMC & presumably XBMC itself.

Cheers

Does this mean that it's possible for SageTV too?
