Temporarily Disable Source

Is it possible to temporarily disable a source?

I would like to remove a source from the system, but bring it back at a later time. I do not want to loose all the channel mappings, favorites, etc, when I bring it back.

I want to prevent the channels from showing up in the guide and the favorites from recordings.

REQUEST DESCRIPTION: Feature requests!

Tuner Pause : Ability to temperarily disable an input due to loss of
service. This allows you to use the streaming functions without building up
a bunch of static or error message captures. Bonus the scheduling logic will
always have a chance to recover and the user need not delete their tuners or
edit their channels to use SageTV with limited or no sources.

When you have a recording conflict involving a manual recording and you
choose to record a future airing. Why not have the logic determine the best
time, like it would a favorite. As it is now you must pick a specific future
airing to capture. I can see why this is a problem as a manual recording
logically is entirely manual. Maybe a third option like recording request
which has some attributes of both manual and favorite but just on one
episode.

Anyway just some ideas.

Optionally remove the second request. If you too think the ability to have the recording logic handle future recording requests, leave it in.

I've noticed with USB tuners that if they are not seen when the Sage service starts (because I'd forgotten to plug them back in!) then they don't appear in setup/guide etc. But when I restarted the service (having plugged back in) the tuner appears along with its lineup etc like it never went away....

I guess its not as easy with PCI tuners

Why not just pop out the PCI card and put it back in when you want to reuse?

Why not just add it to the ignore in the sage properties file.
Ex, this ignores my Hauppauge WinTV 418 TS Capture
