Hauppauge Remote Quit

I recently just put this computer together (Hardware listed at bottom of post) and it seemed to be working fine. Got the hardware and drivers all installed, installed SageTV next. Got it all up and running, took me a bit to get the IR blaster to control the satellite box but I got that working today. I played with recording a bit and all seemed well until I recorded one last program tonight. The remote worked to set up the recording but would not work after the recording was over.

I tried restarting SageTV, reseating the IR blaster cable and rebooting the PC. The Hauppauge IR Blaster Configuration utility was able to turn the satellite tuner off and on. I tried new batteries in the remote and then remembered that you could see an IR transmitter work through a video camera and I could see bright flickering through the camera when pushing buttons. Not sure what to do next. Tried searching the forum here but unable to find anything so far. Any suggestions would be helpful. Keep in mind that I'm a noob to SageTV, PVRs and IR Blasters in general. I have also tried using a basic irremote.ini file from this site and stopping and restarting ir.exe. I also tried to reboot windows without SageTV starting up and having the notepad window open but it stayed blank and I did press every key. I forgot to mention it is the 45 key remote.
