Sage forgets Favorites and moves recordings when turned off

I recently upgraded to v5.0.4.92 from v4 following a hard drive crash and hardware update. I tried to do the upgrade and save all the settings but it did not seem to work. So to make sure I started with nothing screwed up I uninstalled and started fresh with v5. Got everything working, entered 15-20 favorites set and started using Sage again.

I had to move the sage box, so I shut everything down, moved it, and plugged it back in. I went in that night to watch and there were no recordings, no favorites, nothing. I finally found the recorded shows going into media center > archived shows, but the favorites were no where to be seen. I re-entered most of them. Well last night the power went out, and when I went into Sage today the same thing has happened.

Any ideas why it losses this stuff on shutdown?? With the all the new seasons of shows starting back up I need to get this fixed.

XP machine. I may just try a complete reinstall of sage today and see if that fixes it somehow.
