Every tuner set to record EVERYTHING!

Had something weird happen a few days ago. I turned my sage on in my bedroom and the news was recording. I knew I didn't set that to record, so I stopped it - but noticed it wasn't a one-time recording, but rather a series.

And then I noticed my upcoming recordings were maxed out. My upcoming disk space usage was off the charts.

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but but sometime around 3 in the morning, every tuner (i have 9 tuners) was set to record every upcoming recording on the channel that was currently tuned.

I went through and deleted everything that did record and deleted the series that were set to record.

Just weird. Anyone else ever see something like this? This is the first strange thing I've seen from my sage in over 3 years, so I'm not at all worried about it, but rather just curious.

Did Intelligent Recording get accidentally enabled? Did you accidentally enable video to be on always?

Intelligent recording - nope.

enable video always on? Would that actually create season passes?
News was set to record everything. I'm 99% sure season passes were created.

Only 99%? Either there's a Favorite matching those programs or there isn't. You should be able to tell by clicking on one of the recordings in question; if there's a Favorite Options button in the dialog, then there's a matching Favorite that caused that program to be recorded. If not, there isn't, and your problem lies somewhere else.

I deleted everything already.

I'm 99.8% sure there was a favorite recording for news. Not positive about the other stuff. Once I canceled the news recording, most stuff was back to normal, with the exception of deleting everything that recorded from 3:00am till around 7:30am.

This happened to me a while back...

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42654

I changed absolutely nothing to my setup when this occurred and did nothing to fix it. It just went away...

Very weird.
