Can you set favorites to only record on a certain day (i.e every Friday)?

Sorry if dumb question, but I couldn't find it. Even tried googling it for a bit.

Just getting acquainted with SageTV, and I really like it, but its trying to record things I don;t want. Even when it have it set to 'First Run,' its trying to record many reruns.

So it would be great if i could set it to only record shows on they day they premiere.

If this feature doesn't exit,.. would be awesome if it would be worked into the beta 3

Where are you located & how are you getting your EPG data? If it is XMLTV, then perhaps the first runs/reruns aren't marked correctly in the data; if it is the built-in EPG, then perhaps the data source is also not correct for some shows.

Or: if you have Intelligent Recordings enabled, it will record things that you just think you don't want to see. i.e.: IR could be picking up the ReRuns while the fav catches the First Runs.

It is not implemented in the v2 UI, but V3 has the ability to limit favs to one day of the week, one particular hour, and/or a couple other limits based on ratings.

I have the guide set to the defaults.
Im in New Orleanss, Cox extended basic

I believe Intelligent Recordings is disabled, but will 2x check if problem persists
