Cant set MPG1 vcd to record.
Hi,
Got and like Sage Recoder 1.4.10. Yet I need help. My profiles never work when recording at MPG1 ID=2 or VCD ID=11. I am using all latest SRSPVR sites latest Hauppauge versions. I can set ALL modes in Wintv2000 to function well now, but they don't easily allow to turn off the display while reciording so I want to use SAGE. I can get SAGE to use ALL its' builtin profiles, but they use too much disk space compared to MPG1 ((320x240) or (352x240) ?) and I always want to convert to lores small files size DIVX. Can I edit the registry and add a REAL Profile to the registry veersus the ini file? Why does Wintv2000 work but not Sage. Is it a decoder (intervideo display of mpg1 not working but mpg2 display works) problem? Ive gotten a record to work once if I turn off display, but it is hard to cue the tape and manually start the record function with the display off. Ive tried different decoderrs from elecard/ nvidia, intervideo but have not stumbled upon the answer yet, any ideas? Thanks, FreakyTV

follow up:
I still have the problem. I have ATI 9500 pro bios patched to 9700. It works fine. I get MY VCD profile to record no problem......however, it will not display and locks up if I try. Once recording is finished, it displays fine, no problem. Wierd. Anybody help the FreakyTV?

You can only use MPEG1 to record not playback it not support at time with in SageTV or SageRecorder.
