Mobile version of forum?

Is there a skinning option or something to make it easier to view the forum on a handheld device? I can't seem to find any skin options at all, let alone for mobile.

what about this:

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/archive/index.php

I guess you can't post/reply (that I see) through this link. But it's certainly easier to read on my BB than the normal site.

For me, it's for the john at work. Reds are dead in the water, and too early to buy into the Bengals hype, so the sports page is useless.

This is better than a root canal, but as you said, you can't post or reply, and to me the bigger problem is there s no way to just read "new posts". Only way to catch up is to click on each forum then click through to the last page, because it defaults to chronological order. I would be happy if it would at least show newest first. But, this will do for now.

I have also access the forums via a google search before. I recall that that google parsed the forums and presented the info in a more mobile-friendly manner. I'll try to find it later. I don't remember if posting was available or not.

I monitor the forum content, so please don't send me PMs asking me to read particular posts. I can't say when or if we would add such a customization, though.

Question works nicely on my touch hd?

I've not tried posting from my phone before so...
here goes.

It's a bit annoying that the editor doesn't wrap or scale nicely. I've just found that I need to zoom out quite a bit to be able to see an entire line which makes the text quite small. The hd has a 480x800 display. I'm not sure that it would work so well on an iphone @480x320.

Here's a pic (couldn't take a pic of the phone with the phone so used a camera )

Overall only slightly annoying compared to a pc

It would be greatly appreciated if a more mobile friendly skin could be supplied tho.

After that I'm keenly looking forward to a wm version of placeshifter (there's java after a fashion and a port of mplayer). I'd happily pay ~80 usd.

Mick.
