Playback sound is too quiet
I have to crank up my tv to get a decent sound level when playing back recordings. I think there may be a reg tweak for my video card but I'm not sure. Anyone else run into this? It's been like this since day one. I'm just getting around to ask about it.

I'm not sure if a video card tweak will affect the sound. How are you connecting the audio to the TV? Is it too quiet on your computer speakers too?

What is your source - is it coming from a cable/sat box? If so did you try cranking up the volume on the box? I find that my OTA tuner has much louder volume than my other sources.

I've had to use it on my old PVR-250 as well as my semi-old 500MCE. Sounds like the latest drivers may have broken it though. |

If I remember correctly, with this setup you'd have two volume controls in play....one on the TV and the other on the MVP/SageTV. What I did was put the MVP/SageTV volume at max (and then never touch it again) and I use only the TV volume control to adjust it when needed. This makes the audio-out on the MVP act more like a traditional line level output. A universal remote (with volume punch through) helps with this.
