Bad delay after recording
I am running Windows XP SP3, Sage TV v6.5.9.204 and I have a Hauppague WinTV-HVR-950 hybrid TV stick.
Whats happeneing is that when something records, the audio is anywhere from 1 to 20 seconds off. 1. Sometimes the entire video is slightly off 2. Sometimes it starts off right and then toward the middle or end its off I tried to see if it was happening during a particular time of day, but it seems to happen all the time, intermittanly. Sometimes it records correctly, but that is rare. I tried to determine when it started doing this, because it didn't always do this, but can't narrow it down. Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks Chaz |

Are you just recording OTA? I never had that issue until I switched to DirecTV. Only the OTA channels sometimes has the audio off. DirecTV is aware of the issue and is working on resolving it.

If I had to guess, I'd say Sage is using that tuner in software mode, and not hardware. The audio-sync issues are really bad on non-hardware mpeg encoders, as it's having to do it all in software. If I use the wrong drivers for my Leadtek PVR2000's, sage sees them as software encoders and I get that problem, if I use the drivers Microsoft supplied me for testing Media Center way back when, Sage sees them as hardware encoders and sync is fine.
Check and see if that board is a true hardware encoder, or software. According to their documentation, if your using analog recording: Quote:
