long delay when stop a recording
I've searched on this but am either not using the right terms or it is not a common problem - I've found no discussion of it.
I'm getting a 5-10 second delay when I stop viewing a recording. The CPU utilization goes to 100%, the UI freezes, I get the busy cursor for a while, then it comes back to normal. I've been switching MPEG decoders in search of the best pq and notice this with all of them although some may have a bit less delay than others. Any idea what might be causing this and what I might tweak to improve it? It seems quite a few folks here are on similar spec machines so either I have something setup wrong or this is just accepted as normal. setup summary: Sage 6.0.19 P4 2.4Ghz, 512MB RAM, XP SP2 GeForce 6200 LE Hauppauge PVR 150 |

Hi,
I have similar problems (ie..long delay when stopping a recording) Read Post 6 I have also had crashing issues whilst stopping a recording SageTV Crashing Im thinking maybe its a Java issue,i currently use 1.5.06,which previously worked flawlessly with sage 5 (cannot remember sage 5 crashing out once), i also made sure i did a clean install of sage 6. Im still debating whether to drop back to v5 for now
