HVR 1800 Channel Scan Crash
I'm trying to configure the QAM tuner, for cable, on my HVR-1800 in Sage. I already have the analog side of the 1800 working fine. I have three other tuners configured as well, an ATI 650 (analog) and two HDHomeRun network tuners. They all work well.
I've installed the latest drivers and application from the Hauppauge site (I installed the WinTV application because the installer apparently adds a bunch of other stuff that looked like it might be necessary).
The WinTV channel scan captured all the analog and digital channels I expected to see. However, after doing that, the Sage channel scan didn't find anything in its channel scan. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the Hauppauge driver and applications, but didn't run WinTV a second time before setting up the tuner in Sage.
Unfortunately, this time Sage crashes and gets blown away after scanning about 7 or 8 channels on the 1800's QAM tuner (it didn't find anything among the channels it checked). So there's obviously something else wrong.
The only info I could find on getting the 1800 to work properly were either out of date or not applicable to what I was experiencing.
Can someone point me to a how to, or provide some suggestions on how to proceed?
